As an anointed Gospel preacher filled with the Holy Ghost, a powerful youth leader, a composer of children's gospel music, and an advocate for abused kids, Elder Lamar Johnson has always had a strong desire to see children saved and highly used of God in the ministry.  In 1991 while ministering to his first born son at his 1st birthday party, God spoke into Lamar's spirit..."The Gospel Kids Show".  Little did he know that this spoken Word of God would literally change his life.  The Lord told him "My Son, go and minister to kids all over the city at their birthday parties and tell them about me."   Lamar ran with "God's Vision" and saw miraculous miracles being performed by the mighty hand of God.  

       After 3 years of being of being criticized, laughed at and mocked by the church for being "a preacher in a clown suit", God spoke again.  This time the Lord told His faithful servant to "start prophesying that the Gospel Kids Show would be a "Christian Kids Show" for the whole family on Television!"  My God!...by 1997 Lamar's name was ringing all across the country and the world was taking note that surely this must be a son of the most high God.  Determined more than ever to see children truly encouraged, ministered to, and trained "in the way that they should go", Lamar was purpose-driven to hear the uncomprised voice of God.  In 1998 God spoke again and said "I'm going to send you out 2 by 2".

    In November of 1998, God put Lamar together with brother  Horace Christian...whom the Lord had given "His vision" of an anointed Christian gospel cartoon called "Dex Davis: Child of God!", that would be a ground-breakin'-history-makin' animated series that would lift up the name of Jesus Christ and raise up generations of children on the Word of God.  When the two met and shared the visions of what God had given them to work with children, "it was a perfect match". 

       In January of 1999, the prophesy the Lord spoke through Lamar about being on televison was manifested!  He sent Lamar and Horace to a public-access cable television studio in Los Angeles, California to be producers and directors of His vision which He called "The critically-acclaimed Christian cable TV Kids show, The Gospel Kids Show!"  There at the TV studio, they learned how to produce and direct the shows for this awesome vision. These two anointed gospel trailblazers were purpose-driven to make sure that children all over the world would hear about Jesus, and encourage them to used their God-given gifts for the Lord. 

       In January of 2004, against all odds, the “Dynamic Duo”   heard the Voice of God again saying "start your own christian record label, "where God is able and children are the heart of the ministry"...that's when TGKS Records was born!  TGKS Records, is an independent record company based in Lake Elsinore, California that specializes in producing children's gospel music CD's, Christian musical animation DVD's and Christian kids gospel music media products.  These two African-American men of God are trailblazers in children's ministry who are determined to make people see that their children can be highly used of God at a young age and that they need to be taken seriously in the gospel music and media industry.  Along with Lamar's wife, Sandra, as the company's Finance Coordinator and a multi-talented woman of God, TGKS Records is devoted to bring God's anointed vision to the masses of children and their families all over the world.  

         In spite of their early success, the purpose of TGKS Records still remains the same: "To use the powerful tools of music, television, radio and animation to lift up the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to proclaim the Word of God to make a powerful, permanent, life-changing impact on millions of children and families of all races around the world."  TGKS Records is "the record label where God is able and where children are the heart of the ministry."
