Gospel Cartoon "Dex Davis: Child of God!" Wins BEST ANIMATION at the 2008 San Diego Black Film Festival!

The San Diego Black Film Festival is one of the fastest growing black film festivals in the country. The festival was founded by the Black Historical Society of San Diego, the largest black historical society in the country. “Congratulations to all the 2008 San Diego Black Film Festival awardees. The film jury did a great job of selecting the awardees, however all the films were winning films as far as I’m concerned,” said festival director Karen Willis.

The 6th Annual Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF) was an awesome event. Blending filmmaking and activism, the Urban Mediamakers recognize media as a powerful tool of choice for making positive change in media and society. The response this year was overwhelming!
UMFF 2007 showcased independent projects from around the world and there were so many quality films, that it was very hard for the judging committee to choose the best-of-the-best. The UMFF 2007 winning films are listed below.
