DEX DAVIS -  is NOT a Wizard!  He’s NOT a Space Alien!  He’s NOT a Secret Agent!...and he’s NOT a Kung-Fu Master!   Dex Davis IS saved, he's sanctified, and he's filled with the Holy Ghost!  Dex always helps his friends and tells them "what the Word of God says".  He always tries to stay away from stciky situations, but because Jesus wants to use him as a witness, the Holy Ghost always leads him right into action.

ADAM -  Adam Cohen is a cool, red-headed skater-kid who knows all the latest happenings at “Straight Street Elementary School”…and in the neighborhood too.  He’s a good-hearted kid who doesn’t do everything exactly “honest”.  He has a lot to learn about doing the right thing, and he’s learning it from hanging around Dex.

KISHA - Kisha Renee Greenhill is the extra-dramatic, loudmouth of the bunch.  She’s a little firecracker who’s not only Dex’s classmate, they go to the same church.  With her attitude and afro-puffs, Kisha’s the first one to say something crazy…at the wrong time…and to the wrong person.  Please pray for her...she needs a whole lotta help.

JIMMY -  Jimmy Rojas is a shy, chubby, Mexican kid who gets teased by other kids because of his weight (because they’re really scared of him).  He’s smarter than your average 5th grader…he’s a genius! (he doesn’t even need a calculator to figure out big math problems).  Even though he’s shy, his most powerful weapon is his brain.  When Jimmy talks, Dex and the kids listen.

ELDER B. -  is the leader of the Youth Department at Good New Gospel Church (that's Dex's church). He's a cool, middle-aged man with a jolly heart that's always encouraging the kids to do their best for Jesus.

J.D. -  J.D. (no one knows his real name) is the dumbest, meanest bully in the whole school.  He looks a bit too old to be in the 5th grade…that’s because he is.  J.D.’s a 14 year-old 5th grader.  He’s Dex’s arch-enemy because he’s always pickin' on him trying to get him in trouble.  He’ll never admit it, but J.D. really wants to know Jesus.

THE HOLY GHOST -  The 3rd Person in the Holy Trinity is the real star of this show.  Without Him, all of us wouldn’t be here.  The Holy Ghost is the Power that makes Dex who he is, and allows him to do what he does.  He doesn’t like to “speak of himself” so He would rather stay behind the scenes and help Dex to do God’s will.

LIL RAY-RAY - is a little guy with a "whole lotta heart". Most of the kids tease him because he's short, he wears big, thick glasses, and he wears a brace on one leg (because its shorter than the other). He's living proof that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. It's what's on the inside that really counts.

THE FUNKEL SISTAHS - Fifi, Florence and Florida are "The Funkel Sistahs". These 3 crazy girls go to Dex's church too. You can tell by their "one-of-a-kind-ghetto-fabulous" style...they are outrageous. Oh, just be warned...they CAN'T sing, but they make a joyful noise and they're here to praise the Lord.

MR. & MRS. DAVIS - are Dex's parents. Mr. Ernie Davis works at the post office and Peggy Davis is a school teacher...not at Dex's school though (that would be bad news for Dex). They both love Jesus and they really love their son. Mom & Dad are always there to help Dex with a Word from the Bible.
